Dreams are a weird phenomenon.
They really screw with your mind sometimes. I'm sure everyone's had that dream where they're with the love of their life, and they are just about to have that perfect movie kiss when RIIIIIING, there goes the morning alarm. Off to work!
Nothing is more disappointing than waking up, eh?
On the other hand, sometimes you have nightmares that you just plead with yourself to wake up from.
So I don't usually get into the trenches of this seriously fucked up mind of mine, but.. I had a very strange dream last night.
Seeing as I don't dream often, it was especially strange.
And the reality of the whole thing- just how real it seemed while happening, that is- weirded the hell out of me.
Therefore turn back now if you don't want to read a bunch of semipersonal dream shit. Haha.
But I figure maybe someone's had a weirder dream and wants to tell me.
[That and someone asked me to put this up after I EXPLAINED IT TO HIM. xD. Loves.]
First off, I've obviously got a spot in my heart for certain musicals. Everyone knows that.
But to dream about acting in them isn't my normal cup of tea.
I had a dream last night that I was asked to be the lead the day of a show. The DAY of the show. Wicked, of course. Haha, weird right.
[Namely chosen because I've got a superior knowledge of Wicked, as seen by one of my previous posts. Heheh.]
Now, in all honesty, this looked like it was going to be a good dream. Dream me was thinking "Well, I don't get stage fright and frankly I'm a relatively decent singer. Haven't done much acting in my day, but hey, how hard can it be."
Never EVER underestimate your brain. That little bitch turned it around completely for me. xD
Turns out halfway through the damn show I blanked on EVERYTHING.
I know the show in reality, but in my dream realm, I guess I didn't realize I'd forgotten half of it.
Oh it was horrible. Like, I can't remember exactly what went down, but... I remember there was improvising [which proved to be a bad idea because somehow the whole audience had gained superior knowledge of the show too..], and I asked one of my friends to help me out, but she was just mad at me for screwing this up..
And I think there was a video involved that was projected..
xD.
See, I can't remember.
Anyway, turns out the show either switched to/was originally Annie instead.
I don't like Annie.
It irritates me.
Luckily I knew like, the end score.
So as I finally left the stage practically threatening to rip my head straight off my shoulders, everyone was glaring and the such.. people I know and everything, the whole shebang.
That pretty much ruined acting for me.
As a certain love of mine mentioned previously, at least I know what I'm NOT going to do when I grow up. [:
